Germany is the fifth most popular destination for international students migration after the UK, US, Australia and France according to UNESCO’s 2014 data, even though it is non-anglophone. In 2013/14 the total number of international students in Germany were 301315, 53.3% of that contains Nigerian students (Project Atlas). Students have stated low tuition fees, excellent quality of education, STEM courses, high quality of life, availability of research scholarships, language integration programs and post-graduation employment prospects as some of the main reasons for picking Germany as a top destination for study.  Although, tuition fees are free in most public universities for international students, you are required to pay a nominal fee per semester; this covers administration, student support and other costs.
