Recently, there has been a lot of traffic in the international education migration sector for undergraduate study programs, especially in Nigeria. More parents are craving foreign education for their wards even earlier than post graduation. But a foreign undergraduate education yearly in the top 10 Institute of International Education (IIE & Project Atlas) normally costs about $5000 – $12,000 yearly, and with 3-4 years duration this is bound to cause some financial lag in a middle class family. There are several scholarship grants for overseas undergraduate study that are available to Nigerian students, you just have to search and dig a little deeper to find them.
In order to qualify for an undergraduate scholarship, you must possess all of the following:
- Secondary school results and transcripts i.e. WAEC, NECO
- Take Standardized Tests and Submit Score, some tests may be SAT depending on the country of scholarship application.
- Letter of offer of admission from the country’s university supporting these under listed scholarships
- English language proficiency tests such as IELTS, TOEFL.
- Complete and Submit the online application form
- Letters of recommendation
- Submit other required credentials.
